The Department of Education and Training of Son La province has played a proactive and active role in disseminating and implementing documents, projects and programs of the central and provincial governments related to mobilizing social resources.

Information was widely and promptly transmitted to all cadres, teachers and employees of the education sector in localities, creating a synchronous network from the provincial to the grassroots level. Close coordination with agencies, units and localities has helped effectively implement support packages, especially improving the malnutrition situation for preschool children and primary school students in especially disadvantaged communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
In addition, the Education sector has also proactively implemented communication and education activities to raise awareness and responsibility of the community in protecting and caring for children. These activities focus on core contents such as health care, nutrition, injury prevention and self-protection skills for children. Various forms of communication, from leaflets, television reports, social networks to direct communication at schools, ensure that information is widely and effectively accessed.
Results from social resources
In the period 2019 - 2025, Son La and the Education sector have implemented many practical policies to support children in extremely disadvantaged communes. These policies are mainly integrated from local budget sources, socialization and national target programs, creating a combined strength.
One of the outstanding successes is the mobilization of funds and materials through the "Waves and Computers for Children" Program. With a total funding of over 24 billion VND, contributions from many sources, the program has purchased and delivered 9,952 tablet devices to students. This not only helps students access technology and knowledge but also opens up equal learning opportunities in the digital age.
In addition, many meaningful projects have been completed thanks to social resources, typically the project "Beautiful School for Children" No. 33 in Lay village, Tan Xuan commune with a total cost of over 606 million VND. Spacious and clean schools are not only places to study but also a source of motivation and joy for students in disadvantaged areas.

Child health care and nutrition have also achieved many positive results with the launch of meaningful programs, providing free milk to more than 1,500 disadvantaged children, contributing to improving their physical health and well-being.
The "Nuoi Em Moc Chau" project implemented by the Youth Union of Son La Provincial Police has supported food expenses for thousands of preschool and primary school children in difficult circumstances. In 2024, the project supported 6,486 children, and this number increased to 8,963 children in 2025 at 55 preschools in 5 old districts of Son La province: Bac Yen, Muong La, Thuan Chau, Moc Chau, Van Ho, Mai Son. With a support level of 6,800 VND/child/day, the project has contributed significantly to ensuring nutrition for children, helping them have enough energy to study and play.
Through diverse and effective support activities, the lives of ethnic minority children in extremely disadvantaged communes have been significantly improved. Basic services have been improved, from nutritious meals, school supplies, warm winter clothes to school facilities.
