Student Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen (living in Thanh Sen ward, studying at Hanoi National University of Education) shared: “This is the first time I have seen an Indian movie on the big screen. I feel really impressed because the movies not only have beautiful actors and good acting, but also have great images and special effects. I especially like the movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (Live Only Once). The movie has a plot close to young people, conveying a positive message of living, daring to overcome fear to grow up”.

“Live Only Once” tells the story of three men who have been close friends since high school, traveling together before getting married. The trip has many incidents, through which each person reveals their inner turmoil, confronts their fears, hurts and desires to live fully. With a modern pace and familiar situations, the story quickly won the hearts of Vietnamese youth.

As for Pham Quoc Kien (18 years old, Loc Ha commune), the days attending the Film Festival were always full of unforgettable experiences. “I like the two films Dangal (Female Wrestler) and RRR (Roar of Freedom) the most. One is a touching film about fatherly determination and love, the other is full of intense action and patriotism. Both are very attractive and full of emotions” - Kien excitedly said.

In Dangal, the image of a single father training his two daughters to become national wrestlers touched the hearts of many viewers, especially with its strong feminist message and the spirit of overcoming social prejudice. RRR, the hit epic action film, stirred up viewers with its eye-catching scenes and fiery Indian patriotism.

Not just simply cinema, the audience coming to the Festival also has the opportunity to explore a “miniature India” through each scene, costume, music, and festival. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (45 years old, Tran Phu ward) was moved: “I feel excited to explore Indian culture through the films shown at this festival. From customs, costumes, wedding ceremonies to religious ceremonies…, everything appears very vividly and beautifully. I feel like I have just traveled through cinema!”.

The Indian Film Festival is an annual initiative of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Exchange Center - Embassy of India in Hanoi, organized nationwide. This year, the event takes place from June 8 to July 31, 2025 in many provinces and cities, combining theatrical and online screenings to spread more strongly to audiences nationwide. In Ha Tinh, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed the Provincial Center for Culture, Cinema and Tourism Promotion to coordinate with CGV Cinema to organize a series of film screenings in the best conditions. The 4 films selected for screening this time, including: "Female Wrestler", "Live Only Once", "English, Your Voice" and "Freedom Roar" are typical works, imbued with the identity of modern Indian cinema and culture.

Each screening is carefully prepared to create the best conditions for the public to experience Indian cinema culture”.

According to information from CGV Ha Tinh Cinema, during the 4 days of the Film Festival, all screenings were packed with audiences. Many screenings had to add extra seats. Notably, the audience was very diverse, from students, officials, the elderly to young families... Closing the 4 days of meeting with Indian cinema, the humane stories, colorful settings, unique music and profound philosophies left an indelible mark.

“After this time, I love Indian movies even more. Because, besides entertainment, the movies also have positive, humane messages, helping me learn to deeply perceive family values, love, and the will to live…” - Dau Duy Hieu (18 years old, in Thanh Sen ward) expressed.
