On the afternoon of September 13, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau reported on the verification of a clip of students fighting in front of the school gate that was circulating on social media.
According to verification, at around 5:20 p.m. on September 10, DTH, a 10C4 student at Nguyen Viet Khai High School, Ca Mau City, and two other people (information unknown) came to the gate of Ca Mau High School to pick up and beat LGH (a 11E2 student at this school).
The incident happened at the school gate, with many witnesses and LGH's father stopping it. Immediately after, Ward 2 Police invited DTH to take a statement, while the two people who accompanied H. ran away. According to DTH's statement to the police, the cause of the fight was due to a grudge and conflict while playing soccer.
Upon examination, LG.H was beaten but had no injuries. LGH's parents and DTH's parents agreed to reconcile. DTH's family pledged toeducate him better.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training requested the Principals of Ca Mau High School and Nguyen Viet Khai High School to continue to direct and coordinate with the ward police to review the case of students fighting and propose disciplinary action for related individuals.
As Thanh Nien reported, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province sent an urgent document to the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Police and the People's Committees of districts and cities requesting verification and reporting on the clip of students fighting that was spread on social networks and strengthening solutions to prevent and combat school violence.
Previously, a 30-second clip appeared on social media recording a group of students using helmets to fight each other with cheers of "hit him, hit him... that's right, that's right". According to initial information, the clip recorded the fight happening in front of the gate of Ca Mau High School (Phan Dinh Phung Street, Ward 2, Ca Mau City).
