With the orientation of becoming a comprehensive digital infrastructure service provider, CMC Telecom demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable development through an international standard energy management strategy, contributing to building a green and sustainable digital ecosystem.
Master the race with sustainable development thinking
Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo identified science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the three main driving forces for the development of modern production. It particularly emphasized that data is a new resource, the main means of production; it is necessary to promote the rapid development of big data, data industry, data economy as well as build mechanisms and policies to support domestic enterprises to invest in building data centers, cloud computing, forming storage and computing infrastructure that meets international standards and green standards. This once again affirms that digital transformation associated with sustainable development is a strategic step that businesses need to grasp in the digital age.
Grasping the market trend, from the very beginning, CMC Telecom has clearly identified: digital infrastructure development cannot rely solely on technology but must also focus on green factors, in which it focuses on promoting effective energy management, creating an advantage in the race for sustainable development. One of the important milestones clearly demonstrating this orientation is that CMC Telecom was honored to receive the trio of Uptime Tier III certificates on sustainable design, construction and operation from the Uptime Institute.
In addition, thanks to the infrastructure that was already effectively managed for energy, when starting to deploy the Energy Management System according to ISO/IEC 50001:2018, CMC Telecom quickly completed it within 6 months, with the time to collect data, build forms and deploy the process taking only 3-4 months. While normally, it can take nearly a year for this preparation work. To achieve such impressive results, the team in charge raced against time, reviewing each parameter, each device, each consumption area to collect a large amount of basic data for the appraisal process.
CMC Telecom: Optimize energy, maximize benefits
Recognizing the importance of effective energy management, CMC Telecom synchronously and comprehensively applies energy management processes, policies, and activities to the entire service ecosystem - from Cloud, Connectivity, Security to Data Center - according to international standards.
For data centers, CMC Telecom focuses on investing in advanced technology solutions to improve energy efficiency such as cold corridor isolation systems, Chiller cooling systems to help reduce electricity consumption, contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and accompany the Government towards Vietnam's commitment at COP26 to carbon neutrality by 2050, demonstrating its commitment to responsibility to the environment and community.
Energy optimization also brings practical benefits to customers by maintaining stable operations, ensuring uninterrupted connections 24/7/365, minimizing interruptions that can affect customers' business performance. In addition, significantly reducing power consumption also helps optimize operating costs, indirectly bringing service price benefits to customers while still ensuring quality.
Not stopping at complying with existing standards, CMC Telecom will continue to promote research and application of new technologies to optimize energy and increase operational efficiency. Mr. Dang Tung Son - Deputy General Director, Director of Sales and Marketing of CMC Telecom, emphasized: “Sustainable digital transformation is a long-term journey, in which every kWh of electricity must be used most intelligently. The important thing is to maintain and continuously apply new technology, improve the energy management system so that it becomes part of the operating culture of the enterprise itself”.
CMC Telecom belongs to CMC Technology Group, the only digital infrastructure enterprise in Vietnam with foreign shareholders (TIME dotCom, Malaysia's Top 2 telecommunications group), aiming to become the leading comprehensive service provider in Vietnam and the region, leading in 5 service groups: Connectivity & Internet, Data Center, Cloud, Cyber Security and Managed Services.
