With a vision to become a comprehensive digital infrastructure service provider, CMC Telecom demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable development through an internationally standardized energy management strategy, contributing to building a green and sustainable digital ecosystem.
Take control of the race with a sustainable development mindset.
Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo identified science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the three main driving forces for the development of modern production. It particularly emphasized that data is a new resource and a key means of production; it stressed the need to rapidly develop big data, the data industry, and the data economy, as well as to build mechanisms and policies to support domestic businesses in investing in data centers, cloud computing, and establishing storage and computing infrastructure that meets international and green standards. This once again affirms that digital transformation linked to sustainable development is a strategic step that businesses need to seize in the digital age.

Understanding market trends, from its early days, CMC Telecom clearly defined that developing digital infrastructure cannot rely solely on technology but must also focus on green factors, particularly emphasizing efficient energy management to gain an advantage in the sustainable development race. One of the key milestones demonstrating this direction is CMC Telecom's honor in receiving the Uptime Tier III certifications for sustainable design, construction, and operation from the Uptime Institute.
Furthermore, thanks to its already efficient energy-managed infrastructure, CMC Telecom was able to quickly implement the ISO/IEC 50001:2018 Energy Management System within six months, with data collection, form development, and process implementation taking only 3-4 months. Normally, this preparation process could take nearly a year. To achieve this impressive result, the team worked against time, meticulously reviewing every parameter, every piece of equipment, and every consumption area to collect a large amount of baseline data for the assessment process.

CMC Telecom: Optimize energy, maximize benefits
Recognizing the importance of efficient energy management, CMC Telecom applies a comprehensive and integrated approach to energy management processes, policies, and activities across its entire service ecosystem – from Cloud, Connectivity, Security to Data Center – in accordance with international standards.

For data centers, CMC Telecom focuses on investing in advanced technology solutions to improve energy efficiency, such as cold corridor isolation systems and chiller cooling systems, which help reduce electricity consumption, contribute to reducing CO2 emissions, and support the Government in fulfilling Vietnam's commitment at COP26 to carbon neutrality by 2050, demonstrating its commitment to environmental and community responsibility.

Energy optimization also brings practical benefits to customers by maintaining stable operations, ensuring seamless connectivity 24/7/365, and minimizing disruptions that could affect their business performance. Furthermore, significantly reducing electricity consumption helps optimize operating costs, indirectly resulting in lower service prices for customers while maintaining quality.

Beyond simply adhering to existing standards, CMC Telecom will continue to promote research and application of new technologies to optimize energy use and increase operational efficiency. Mr. Dang Tung Son, Deputy General Director and Director of Sales and Marketing at CMC Telecom, emphasized: “Sustainable digital transformation is a long-term journey, in which every kWh of electricity must be used as intelligently as possible. The important thing is to maintain and continuously apply new technologies and improve the energy management system so that it becomes part of the company's operational culture.”
CMC Telecom, a subsidiary of CMC Technology Group, is Vietnam's only digital infrastructure enterprise with a foreign shareholder (TIME dotCom, Malaysia's second-largest telecommunications group). Its goal is to become a leading comprehensive services provider in Vietnam and the region, leading in five service categories: Connectivity & Internet, Data Center, Cloud, Cyber Security, and Managed Services.
