Opportunity for chefs to exchange and learn about aviation cuisine

ĐNO - The international Culinary Challenge “Catrion Jet Setters Platte” took place at Furama resort Danang on the evening of November 27 with the participation of chefs from Vietnam and Sri Lanka.

This event is part of the Asia- Pacific Air Travel Forum organized by the Asia-Pacific Air Travel Organization (APOT) 2023.

Accordingly, the first prize was awarded to chef Doi Thi Ngoc Diep, professional cake lecturer, CHM International Academy, Hanoi (specializing in training human resources in the fields of cuisine, tourism and hotels) with dishes decorated eye-catchingly according to aviation standards.

In addition, Chef Vo Quoc Viet, Menas Company - the operator of the Trade Center, real estate management and culinary chain in Vietnam, was awarded two prizes: First prize for the appetizer called "An Giang grapefruit salad with ocean squid" and the prize "Best chef in the kitchen".

Mr. Thomas Gugler, President of the World Chefs Association, head of the jury, shared that this is an interesting and inspiring culinary competition with many chefs gathering to exchange and share experiences in international aviation cuisine.

This event is a way for APOT 2023 to highlight the importance of improving the quality of airline cuisine alongside other experiences such as seating, entertainment, etc.

According to Chef Vo Quoc Viet, the competition is an opportunity for chefs to learn, exchange and understand more about the characteristics of the aviation culinary industry. The ultimate aviation culinary experience not only requires delicious dishes, beautifully presented but also practicality, suitable for the service characteristics of the aviation industry.

Mr. Gentzsch Andre Piere, General Director of Operations of Furama - Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex, a partner of APOT 2023, said that the events within the framework of the forum attracted the attention of those working in the kitchen, aviation, and hotel industries. This event will contribute to promoting and making Danang tourism and cuisine a bright spot on the world culinary tourism map.
