Vietnam can become ASEAN's "jewelry factory"
Representing Vietnamese businessmen attending the discussion with experts and leading businessmen in the ASEAN region, Cultural Entrepreneur - General Director Vu Minh Chau shared his views on the current changes in global trade affecting the jewelry industry.
In addition, looking at future trends, Vietnam's jewelry industry plays an important role in supporting the global supply chain. Mr. Chau shared that Vietnam's jewelry industry has the potential to play an increasingly important role in the global supply chain. Firstly, Vietnam is a country with sophisticated craftsmanship, especially traditional handicraft techniques. Secondly, with reasonable labor costs, combined with the application of high technology, Vietnam is becoming an attractive international destination. Thirdly, Vietnamese jewelry has an Asian beauty, associated with cultural symbols that are rising in the global market. Vietnam can become a "national brand" of high-end handmade jewelry, contributing to diversifying the supply for the world market.
“As a reputable and long-standing enterprise in the field of trading and manufacturing gold jewelry and precious stones, I realize that Vietnam can completely become a jewelry processing place for ASEAN enterprises, as well as a potential market for consuming and exporting jewelry products to the common market of ASEAN countries,” he said.
Attending this ASEAN International Jewelry Summit is not only an opportunity for businesses in the region to improve their production capacity and develop new technologies, but also a platform to build a sustainable cooperation network, aiming to bring the ASEAN jewelry industry to the world. The event attracts tens of thousands of visitors and is a center for thousands of international buyers to come and trade.
Within the framework of the event, an international jewelry fair took place. A special discussion session with the theme “AGJA - ASEAN Brainstorming to Support Country Partners” brought together key leaders of the ASEAN Gem and Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA), delegates discussed supporting domestic market development, enhancing regional supply chain connectivity, and promoting bilateral trade in the context of deep integration. This is a practical step to realize AGJA’s shared vision of building a sustainable, innovative and connected jewelry ecosystem in Southeast Asia. |
