At the close of trading on July 17, the VN-Index increased by 7.27 points, equivalent to 0.49%, surpassing the 1,497.28 point mark. The VN30-Index also increased by 9.21 points; the HNX-Index increased by 1.68 points; and the UPCoM-Index increased by 0.53 points.
Trading atmosphere on 3 floors was bustling. Liquidity quickly surpassed the 34,000 billion VND mark. The board was filled with green with 171 stocks increasing in price; 57 stocks remaining unchanged and 147 stocks decreasing in price.
The assets of Vietnamese billionaires also fluctuate significantly according to stock price movements.
According to the latest update of Forbes, as of the afternoon of July 18, Vietnam has 5 USD billionaires including Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong - Chairman of Vingroup, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of Vietjet, Mr. Ho Hung Anh - Chairman of Techcombank, Mr. Tran Dinh Long - Chairman of Hoa Phat and Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - Chairman of Masan .
Of these, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong recorded the strongest increase, adding 129 million USD, bringing his total assets to 12.3 billion USD and ranking 215th on the list. Mr. Ho Hung Anh's assets increased by 97 million USD, reaching 2.4 billion USD. Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang also added 59 million USD, bringing his total assets to 1.2 billion USD.
