On the afternoon of October 20, many users reported that they could not access the Be ride-hailing app. The incident occurred right at rush hour, putting both customers and drivers in an awkward situation.
According to the reporter's records at 4:00 p.m. the same day, when accessing the Be application, the screen displayed the message: "Connection failed. We encountered an error processing your request! Please try again in a few minutes."
On social networks and in Be driver community groups, a series of posts appeared complaining about the application "crashing" mid-way.
Mr. Dung, a Be driver in Hanoi, shared: "I was delivering an order when the app crashed and I couldn't take a photo to complete the order. Now I can only sit and wait because there is no way to handle it."
Similarly, Mr. Vu Minh Vuong said: “I have delivered the goods but cannot confirm completion. I don’t know what to do.”
Some other drivers reported a more ironic situation: after receiving an order and moving to the delivery point, the app suddenly crashed, leaving them unable to contact the customer to deliver or collect payment.
The incident happened right at the afternoon rush hour - the time when many users open the app to book a ride home. Mr. Le Thuan (Ha Dong, Hanoi) shared: "I opened the Be app to book a ride but couldn't access it, so I had to download another app. This was very time-consuming."
On Be's official Facebook fanpage, the administrator announced in a comment: "The system is having a small problem, the technical team is handling it quickly so you can use it again immediately." According to the reporter's records, starting from around 6 p.m., the application was accessible.
Be has not yet provided official information about the cause of the system failure.
