With a total of 7 wins and 4 draws, player Dau Khuong Duy achieved a total of 9 points in the U14 blitz chess category. Only 0.5 points more than teammate Duong Vu Anh, but that was enough for Dau Khuong Duy to win the gold medal at the 2025 World Youth and Rapid Chess Championship that just ended in Rhodes, Greece.
Khuong Duy successfully defended the World Blitz Chess Gold Medal in the U14 Men's age group.
This talented boy has also successfully defended the title won at the 2024 World Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship. Dau Khuong Duy also set a goal of completing the "double" gold like last year, but unfortunately in the U14 rapid chess event, he could only finish second despite having the same 9 points but with a lower sub-coefficient than his teammate Nguyen Nam Kiet.
The young player from Hanoi was officially awarded the title of International Master (IM) by FIDE in October 2024 and is the youngest person to be on the list of the top 10 Vietnamese players today.
