"Don't take pictures of lectures and then say you'll study them later!"

(NLDO) - That is the sharing of Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien, the highest achieving high school graduate of Scotch AGS South Australia School.

On the afternoon of May 21, Scotch AGS held a graduation ceremony for the 2024-2025 school year in Ho Chi Minh City for 47 grade 12 students . These are also the first students to complete the Australian High School Diploma (SACE) program in Vietnam.

Notably, 100% of graduates receive admission letters from many top universities in Australia, the US, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries.

“South Australia Scotch AGS is demonstrating that the SACE program in Vietnam is delivering results beyond expectations. I am impressed that 100% of this year’s graduates have been accepted and welcomed by international universities. These are the first ‘sweet fruits’,” said Ms Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia.

“Wherever you choose to study in the world, remember that you will take away more than a degree with you,” said Michaela Bensley, Chief Executive of the SACE Council. “It is the abilities, skills and confidence that will shape your future.”

Sharing at the ceremony, Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien, the student with the most outstanding achievements in the school, shared a very impressive perspective on studying. Tien said that getting an A is very difficult, once you get it, you will "score points" with everyone. However, only you yourself can understand what you want.

"Studying is not just for exams, learning is to create proficiency and apply knowledge to life" - Tien expressed.

Thuy Tien shared at the graduation ceremony on the afternoon of May 21.

Students graduating with the SACE Australian Diploma are globally recognised and have the opportunity to gain entry to the world's top universities.

In a message to 10th and 11th graders, the female valedictorian said that they should not be subjective in thinking that having a photo of the lecture will help them complete their assignments well. In reality, many students take photos, but when they get home, they do not review their work, and after a while, they delete the photos. This is a bad habit.

On the same morning, Ms. Frances Adamson, Governor of South Australia and Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong had a courtesy visit and discussed the potential for cooperation in the areas of strength of South Australia.

The Governor of South Australia affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City and South Australia have many areas that can promote cooperation, from transport connections through direct flights, to tourism, science and technology and innovation. Of which,education is a special highlight.
