“Vietnam's Biggest Dragon” will perform at the Lion - Lion

The leader of Nha Trang City People's Committee said that the city will organize the 2024 Street Lion - Lion - Dragon Festival on the afternoon of March 17 at April 2 Square. This is an activity in a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction and development of Nha Trang city (1924 - 2024), 15 years of Nha Trang being recognized as a class I city under Khanh Hoa province (2009 - 2024).

At the festival, the lion dance clubs from the communes and wards of Nha Trang City will parade along Tran Phu Street (from the intersection with Biet Thu Street to Nguyen Chanh Street). In particular, residents and visitors will also enjoy the performance of the Hai Nam Lien Huu Lion Dance Club from District 5, City. Ho Chi Minh (the troupe has been in the world top 10 for 2 consecutive times; the reigning champion of Vietnam's Dragon Dance. The Hai Nam Lien Huu Lion - Lion - Dragon Troupe also owns a 68m long dragon, recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as the "Largest Dragon in Vietnam". The Lion - Lion - Dragon Dance Festival is a traditional cultural activity maintained by Nha Trang City for many years. The festival is often held on the occasion of the traditional New Year or major holidays to meet the entertainment needs of the people, while creating conditions for lion - lion - dragon clubs in the city to exchange and learn experiences to maintain and develop the art of lion - lion - dragon dance.
