Following a lawsuit over Victoria Beckham's son Brooklyn Beckham's "million-dollar wedding" in Palm Beach in April 2022, the parties involved have released a joint statement to People signaling the end of the legal battle.
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz to marry in April 2022
The parties believe that the contractual dispute between billionaire Nelson Peltz (father of Brooklyn Beckham's wife Nicola Peltz) and wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events (PDE) should be resolved according to the agreed terms.
"As part of the settlement, PDE will donate the deposit on behalf of Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham to the CARE Ukraine Crisis Fund. PDE wishes Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham well," the source said.
Last December, Nicola’s father filed a lawsuit against the wedding planners Braghin and Grijalba, who were hired six weeks before the wedding and fired nine days later. However, Nelson Peltz claims he never received his $159,000 deposit back.
"The celebrity status of the couple at the wedding combined with the high-profile attendance required the wedding planner to have the expertise and personnel to plan, coordinate and execute a wedding event of this magnitude," Nelson Peltz's attorney stated in the lawsuit.
In response to the lawsuit, Braghin and Grijalba filed a counter-suit against American billionaire Nelson Peltz for breach of contract.
Brooklyn Beckham and mother - Victoria Beckham
In documents obtained by People , the wedding planners allege that Nicola and her mother, Claudia, did not want Victoria Beckham's family to know how chaotic the wedding planning process had become. Braghin and Grijalba claim that the Beckhams' guest list was kept on file, but the Peltz family kept changing it, making it difficult for them to keep track and manage.
“Both Claudia and Nicola have maintained that Victoria Beckham was unaware of any internal errors in the planning of her son’s wedding, including errors in the guest list,” the complaint reads.
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz married in April 2022 in Palm Beach, Florida (USA) in an elegant party held on the Peltz family's estate. The wedding included a traditional Jewish ceremony, witnessed by nearly 600 guests and a rabbi.
