Bac Ninh police rescue a family from flood

At around 6:30 a.m. on October 7, Bac Ninh Provincial Police successfully rescued five members of Mr. Vu Duc Tho's family (including an elderly mother and two young children) in Suoi Doc hamlet, Dong Ky commune, from the rising, fast-flowing floodwaters.

Mr. Tho's family lives next to a stream. When heavy rains continue, floodwaters from upstream quickly flood the house, completely isolating it. The strong current threatens to sweep away the entire house, making the situation extremely dangerous.

Upon receiving the news, Dong Ky Commune Police quickly mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers and rescue vehicles to the scene. Despite the fierce water currents, the police force quickly brought Mr. Tho's family members out of the danger zone, ensuring absolute safety.

Due to the influence of the weakened low pressure circulation from storm No. 11 combined with the southwest edge of the subtropical high pressure causing wind convergence, from the afternoon and night of October 6 to the morning of October 7, Bac Ninh had widespread heavy rain. Many areas were flooded, traffic was cut off, and people's lives were seriously affected. In some communes such as Son Dong, Duong Huu, Deo Gia, floodwaters rose, isolating many villages and hamlets, posing a potential risk of landslides, posing a danger to people.

Faced with complicated weather developments, Bac Ninh Provincial Police proactively deployed forces and vehicles, on duty 24/7 at key locations; mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to warn and guide people to move to safe places, evacuate and protect property for households in deeply flooded areas.
