According to Da Nang City Police, the security and order situation has been basically under control in recent times, but some types of street crimes such as theft, pickpocketing, robbery, illegal youth racing, etc. still pose many potential risks. Faced with this situation, the police force has implemented a comprehensive plan, acting according to the motto "Serious, resolute, strong, substantial and effective".

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ho Ky Minh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City emphasized the need for the police force to promote its core role in maintaining social order and safety, especially during the peak summer tourist season and the DIFF 2025 event, which attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
The city police force set four major goals: mobilizing the entire political system to participate in crime prevention and control; thoroughly preventing acts of disturbing public order; reducing at least 10% of criminal offenses (including 50% reduction in theft, robbery, intentional injury, and property damage); and controlling 100% of subjects under professional management.

Along with that are 9 specific targets such as: not allowing crime hotspots to arise, reducing traffic accidents by at least 10%, not allowing illegal racing to occur and ensuring absolute safety for DIFF 2025 as well as the entire summer tourist season.
In particular, this peak period emphasizes the prevention and strict handling of acts of “protection” and “aiding” criminals within the industry. Forces will organize closed patrols on many key routes such as Bach Dang, Le Duan, 2/9, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Hai Van Pass, etc.; increase forces from 10pm to 4am the next morning to promptly detect and prevent illegal acts.

In addition to suppressing criminal activities, Da Nang City Police also coordinates with functional agencies and the grassroots political system to propagate and raise legal awareness in the community, effectively exploiting the network of surveillance cameras, residential groups and mass organizations in security maintenance work.
