At the program, leaders Tay Ninh Labor Federation and the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union awarded scholarships to 230 primary, secondary and high school students who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances who are participating in grassroots trade unions under the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union, with good academic achievements in the 2024-2025 school year, preparing to enter the new 2025-2026 school year.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - Chairwoman of the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union said that this is one of the activities of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union to share the difficulties of workers affected by the situation of businesses reducing orders due to world war, tariffs, etc.
During the past school year, although the students all had very difficult family circumstances, they always made constant efforts in studying and practicing morality, all of them were good children, good students, good children of Uncle Ho. Many of them were excellent students and deserved to be commended and praised; the activities also demonstrated the concern of the Trade Union organization for the young generation - the future generation of the country.
Each scholarship is worth from 500,000 VND to 1 million VND. Of which, primary school includes 95 scholarships (500,000 VND/scholarship); middle school includes 84 scholarships (800,000 VND/scholarship) and high school includes 51 scholarships (1 million VND/scholarship). Total cost is 165.7 million VND.
