Vietnam Trade Union spends more than 6,000 billion VND to take care of workers during Tet

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh said that the Union plans to support each union member and worker in difficult circumstances with a gift worth 1.3 million VND (including 1 million VND in cash and 300,000 VND in kind) - the highest level ever.

On this occasion, the Trade Union at all levels will mobilize resources to support workers who have had work accidents, serious illnesses, occupational diseases, lost their jobs or had their working hours reduced, as well as union members from policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years, or have had to stay and work during Tet.

Along with that, many traditional activities will continue to be implemented such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Tet Khong Xa Nha", along with buses, trains, and flights to bring workers far from home to reunite in the provinces: Nghe An, Ha Tinh , Thanh Hoa...

Notably, this year for the first time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the program "Trade Union Year-end Dinner" - creating a cozy atmosphere for workers to celebrate Tet away from home.

In parallel, the program “Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026” will be held directly in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City and online, helping workers shop for quality Vietnamese goods at preferential prices. Here, workers can receive shopping vouchers, “0 VND” products, legal advice, free medicine, and free vehicle oil changes.

For localities affected by storms and floods, in addition to the support from the Vietnam Fatherland Front , the Union will proactively support union members in difficulty with a level of 2 million VND/person, higher depending on the conditions of each place.

The above activities clearly demonstrate the spirit of "The Union accompanies workers - leaving no one behind during Tet", contributing to spreading the warmth of sharing in the New Year of the Horse.
