The community has donated over 107 million VND to support the male delivery driver who was struck by lightning.

Over 107 million VND from benefactors both domestically and internationally was handed over by representatives of charitable groups in Quang Tri to the family of the male delivery driver who was struck by lightning and is currently receiving treatment at Hue Central Hospital.

This afternoon, May 14th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (from Trieu Thanh commune, Trieu Phong district) said that representatives from the Huong Hoa Volunteer Group, the Dong Ha Sharing Love Group, and Ms. Bay Kute - Luong Thang arrived at Hue Central Hospital to personally hand over 107.6 million VND to the wife of Mr. Pham Minh Tuan (born in 1990), residing in Trieu Dai commune, Trieu Phong district.

This is the amount of money that the online community and philanthropists both domestically and internationally have shared and donated to support Mr. Tuan, who was struck by lightning and is currently receiving intensive treatment here.

"After we posted Tuan's case on various groups and forums, we received tens of thousands of expressions of concern and support. Generous donors from all over sent donations, and we personally handed the money over to the family with the hope that he will recover soon and return home," said Mr. Binh.

Earlier, at around 4 PM on May 9th, while delivering goods on National Highway 49C by motorbike through Phuong Ngan village, Trieu Long commune, Mr. Tuan was unfortunately struck by lightning.

Immediately afterwards, local residents took him to the Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment, then transferred him to the Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital. Subsequently, Mr. Tuan was transferred to Hue Central Hospital and is currently receiving treatment there.

Mr. Tuan is in a difficult situation as the primary breadwinner for his family, responsible for providing for his three children's education.
