Effective digital teaching devices
Since the 2020-2021 school year, a group of teachers Pham Thi Hoa and Dinh Thi Thu Huong, Pham Hong Thai Primary School (Nam Dinh ward) have researched and applied the initiative "Design and effective use of Nam Dinh digital teaching equipment - the quintessence of craft villages" to integrate teaching local educational content in the subject of Experiential Activities for grades 3, 4 and 5. The initiative has been recognized by the Provincial Department of Education and Training as having an effective scope of influence, applied at the industry level in 2024.
Ms. Pham Thi Hoa shared that in the 2018 General Education Program, there is a new content on local education. This is a useful part of the curriculum, meeting the requirements of real life, learning goes hand in hand with practice, theory is closely linked to practice. However, some content such as social security policy issues, traditional craft villages... in the curriculum are still abstract for primary school students. From that reality, the school's group of teachers has built lectures that are more suitable to the students' perception; designed and built digital products to exploit content and learning activities to develop learners' capacity.
Digital teaching equipment uses PowerPoint 365 and iSpring Suite software to create images and sounds based on resources downloaded from reputable, copyrighted websites. The equipment can be uploaded to LMS systems (software platforms for managing, organizing and providing online courses) for easy sharing for teachers and students to access and look up information anytime, anywhere.
With digital teaching equipment, students can directly operate and experience traditional craft villages online, watch videos and do interactive exercises... In the condition of not being able to visit and experience directly, students still have the most complete, easy-to-understand and easy-to-remember knowledge about the history and traditions of craft villages, especially the impact, changes and adaptation of local people in preserving, conserving and developing craft villages over time...

At Nguyen Viet Xuan Primary School, Nam Dinh Ward, with the goal of providing intuitive and vivid lessons, helping 3rd grade students easily visualize the structure and function of the organs in the digestive system, in the 2023-2024 school year, teacher Mai Manh Ha built a digital teaching device for the lesson "Digestive organs" in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences for grade 3.
Mr. Ha said that for primary school students, if they only use printed pictures or static models, it will be difficult for them to understand the process of food moving and changing in the body. Therefore, he designed a digital teaching device based on a software platform to create digital lectures, cut and paste videos, design images, create 3D simulation effects of the digestive process and dubbing, and build a system of interactive questions with students.
Thanks to this learning method, students understand lessons quickly and remember knowledge longer. They actively present their thoughts, actively answer questions, creating a lively learning atmosphere. This digital teaching device also supports teachers in teaching flexibly, intuitively, and easily checks and evaluates results. Mr. Ha's digital teaching device won first prize in the 2024 Digital Teaching Device Construction Competition.
Ms. Dinh Viet Ha, Principal of Nguyen Viet Xuan Primary School, commented that this is one of the practical solutions, highly applicable and suitable for the actual conditions of the school when implementing the 2018 General Education Program. This digital teaching device is being widely applied by teachers in the school. From here, the emulation movement of good teaching, good learning, innovation in teaching methods and creation of teaching devices has been spread more strongly with many useful initiatives, linking teaching and learning practices, testing and evaluation in the direction of developing students' capacity.
Flexible application of artificial intelligence in teaching

Since the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, the Literature lessons of teacher Tran Thi Thuy Duong, Tran Dang Ninh Secondary School (Nam Dinh ward) have become more lively thanks to the application of artificial intelligence in the lectures. In the Literature lesson, speaking and listening to a legend or fairy tale took place in class 6A3, the practice part "Show and Tell", Ms. Duong was only the person introducing the activity while the remaining groups presented their preparations.
Based on artificial intelligence tools, the students worked in groups and prepared presentation content at home. Stories such as the legend of An Duong Vuong, the fairy tale of the Starfruit Tree... were presented by the students in many forms: AI videos, music, rhymes, creating fairy tale films using STEM products and dramatizing stories... creating attractive and engaging lessons where the students themselves are the "center" of the learning process.
Ngo Ngoc Lam Anh, a student of class 6A3, shared that Ms. Duong's Literature lessons are very attractive, engaging and rich. In class, students are exposed to knowledge through many different methods and forms, making it easier and longer to remember. Ms. Duong guides students on how to use and select information from artificial intelligence tools to build, deploy and present learning projects in class.
Ms. Duong said that in recent years, teachers have become familiar with and proficient in tools such as Canva, Azota, Quizizz... to prepare lesson plans and design lectures. Recently, artificial intelligence has developed strongly, leading to the birth of many useful support tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini... becoming "effective assistants" of teachers. AI helps lessons become more lively, attractive and more suitable for learning needs in the digital age.
According to Ms. Duong, with artificial intelligence, teachers not only selectively exploit and verify information to better serve their lessons, but also have to become guides, helping students use technology intelligently, safely and responsibly.
“AI is just a support tool, but if teachers know how to exploit it properly, it will help make lessons much more effective. The important thing in education is still to prioritize listening to students, adjusting teaching methods, and being creative to achieve the best results in each lesson,” Ms. Duong stated.

Ms. Tran Thi Huong, Principal of Tran Dang Ninh Secondary School, informed that implementing the 2018 General Education Program, the biggest difficulty for schools is teaching equipment. The school encourages the creation of new teaching equipment, digital teaching equipment and the use of artificial intelligence tools in teaching. Teachers in the school are also proactive and bold in applying information technology in teaching, bringing high efficiency.
In the context that the education sector is promoting the implementation of Resolution No. 71/NQ-TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, schools in Ninh Binh province focus on building synchronous digital infrastructure, ensuring transmission lines, equipment, and management software for teaching and learning. At the same time, schools are promoting the deployment of online learning management systems, electronic gradebooks, digital learning materials and shared data warehouses... to help teachers and students access information quickly and accurately.
The team of teachers gradually masters modern teaching tools, applies appropriate artificial intelligence in preparing lectures and educational activities, orienting students, practicing skills in using technology safely and effectively...
