Road project from Ninh Son to Ta Nang: Will strongly promote trade and tourism

The road project from Ninh Son commune to Ta Nang intersection (Ta Nang commune, Lam Dong province) is expected to create a seamless, inter-regional traffic connection from Khanh Hoa to the Central Highlands, shortening travel time, strongly promoting trade and tourism. However, currently, the final section of the route is still stuck with the land of a household in Ta Nang commune, which needs to be resolved to ensure construction progress.

Construction completed 70% of volume

The Road Project from Ninh Son Commune to Ta Nang Intersection has a total investment of 1,495 billion VND; implementation period is in the period of 2022 - 2025. The route is 63.32km long, designed with a 9m wide roadbed, speed of 50 - 60km/h. The project is divided into 2 component projects. Of which, Component Project 1 - Road from Ninh Son Commune to Anh Dung Commune has a total investment of nearly 374.9 billion VND, has been completed and put into use since December 26, 2023; Component Project 2 - Road from Anh Dung Commune to Ta Nang Intersection has a total investment of more than 1,119 billion VND.

According to the report of the Construction Investment Project Management Board (project investor), Component Project 2 is divided into 4 packages, and up to now, construction has reached an estimated 70% of the contract value.

Specifically, package No. 22 has a length of more than 9.2km, with a total value of nearly 204.3 billion VND, undertaken by the consortium of Phuc Thanh An Joint Stock Company, Gia Viet Joint Stock Company, and 368 Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company. Up to now, the consortium has completed the construction of the roadbed and works on the route, reaching an estimated 90% of the contract value.

Package No. 23 is the construction of roadbed and works on a 10km route, with a total value of over 261.2 billion VND, undertaken by the Son Long Thuan - Truong Thinh Phat - Long Vinh - Yen Tung Joint Venture. To date, the units have completed an estimated 65% of the contract value.

Package No. 24 is for the construction of roadbeds and works on a 12km route, with a total value of nearly 288.8 billion VND, undertaken by the Joint Venture of Vinaconex 12 - Lien Minh - Hoang Nhan - Ha Hung Thinh - Lien Hoa - An Nguyen - Phu Nghia. Up to now, the construction units have achieved an estimated 83% of the contract value.

Package No. 25 is for the construction of the roadbed and works on the final section of the 8.9km route, with a total value of more than 117.8 billion VND, undertaken by the Joint Venture of Rural Company 10 - Truong Phat ARCH - Hoa Phat - Minh Thinh - Minh Huy. Up to now, the units have completed the final section of the route with a length of more than 8.7km, the estimated volume reaching 98% of the contract value. However, currently, the final section of the route is 0.2km behind the site of a household in Ta Nang commune.

Opening up new opportunities for inter-regional development

Mr. Pham Minh Tan - Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that for Component 2, the construction unit encountered many difficulties due to construction through forests and unusual weather. To speed up the progress, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board closely coordinated with departments, branches, localities and contractors to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles. The contractors mobilized more than 120 motor vehicles and more than 200 workers and engineers, synchronously deploying 8 construction teams. To date, the collection of forest products on the route has been completed. The investor continuously urged the contractors to work overtime and increase shifts, striving to complete the project by the end of 2025.

Construction of the route through difficult terrain.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Le Huyen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the Road Project from Ninh Son Commune to Ta Nang Intersection plays an important role in promoting the socio -economic development of the region. When put into operation, this will be a vital route connecting the Southern Central Highlands with the South Central Coast, making it easier to trade goods and tourism between provinces, promoting socio-economic development for localities where the route passes. Therefore, the project is expected to open up new opportunities for inter-regional development, creating favorable conditions for the community to build a prosperous life. The Provincial People's Committee has requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently schedule a meeting with the People's Committee of Ta Nang Commune to handle the problem of the remaining household at the end of the route; at the same time, regularly urge contractors to speed up the construction progress, striving to basically complete and open the route by the end of this year.
