On the morning of January 30th, the Da Nang City Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation Works, together with the Da Nang City Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board, inaugurated three key, vital transportation projects.

Specifically, the DT 601 road project, nearly 36 km long, has its starting point intersecting with the DT 602 road and its end point bordering the Thua Thien - Hue province.

Construction began in May 2020, comprising four main packages with joint ventures representing Construction and Trading Company No. 126, Lien Viet Tien Construction Joint Stock Company, Company No. 17, and Tay Ninh Construction Investment Joint Stock Company.

Three major arterial roads inaugurated.

This is a vital transportation project connecting three communes: Hoa Son, Hoa Lien, and Hoa Bac (Hoa Vang District). The Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board is the investor and project operator, with a total investment of 725 billion VND.

The completed road helps improve, complete, and connect transportation in rural communes of Hoa Vang District, promoting socio-economic development and national defense and security, and facilitating rescue and relief efforts during the rainy season and floods.

The DH 2 road project commenced in October 2018 and was completed on June 30, 2022. Constructed by Construction, Service and Trade Company 68, it is nearly 9 km long, connecting National Highway 14G with Provincial Road 602, running parallel to the southern bypass of the Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel.

This is one of the main routes, connecting residential areas in the north, south, and southwest with the district's administrative center, especially connecting the city's transportation network with the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan and Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressways, reducing traffic pressure on the Hai Van - Tuy Loan bypass.

The Western Ring Road 2 (from Road No. 8 in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park to the Hai Van - Tuy Loan bypass) commenced construction in December 2019 and was completed on June 30, 2023. It was constructed by a consortium of Truong Son Construction Corporation, Dacinco Investment and Construction Company Limited, Cienco 4 Group Joint Stock Company, and Nhat Huy Construction and Trading Company Limited.

The 4.6 km long route includes 4 main interchanges, with the final interchange designed as a semi-cloverleaf interchange, 3 three-way and four-way intersections, and the Quan Nam bridge over the Hoa Lien flood drainage canal.

The newly opened roads help to complete the transportation network.

The completion of this section of the route helps shorten the transportation of goods from Lien Chieu port to industrial zones, reducing the volume of heavy trucks on the Nguyen Luong Bang axis and the southern route of the Hai Van tunnel.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, said that all three key, vital transportation projects require extensive land clearance and resettlement, affecting more than 2,500 households. Of these, the DH 2 route has the greatest impact with over 1,200 households, followed by the DT 601 route with nearly 1,000 households, and the Western Ring Road 2 (phase 1) with over 330 households.

"Completing the land clearance was particularly difficult, traversing complex and extensive mountainous terrain, facing adverse weather conditions such as storms and Covid-19… but the units made great efforts and showed strong determination, receiving the understanding and support of the households. I sincerely thank the households and units for their understanding, the inconvenience and difficulties they experienced in traveling and doing business, in order to complete the project before Tet and bring common benefits to the community," said Mr. Le Trung Chinh.
