At the conference, Thac Mo Hydropower Joint Stock Company (TMP) brought an important presentation with the topic: "Evaluating the status of the generator after 30 years of operation and proposing repair solutions to ensure the generator operates stably, reliably and long-term". The representative presenting the presentation was Mr. Nguyen Hai Dang, Head of the Company's Technical and Safety Department.
In the presentation, TMP analyzed in detail the current status of the two units H1 and H2, which were put into operation since 1995. After nearly 3 decades of continuous operation, the units have been experiencing many technical problems due to the impact of long-term exploitation, requiring timely and synchronous solutions to maintain efficiency and safety.
In particular, TMP has introduced a synchronous renovation roadmap for the period 2024-2028, built on the basis of actual surveys and in-depth technical analysis. Some key items include: Replacing the stator coils of units H1 and H2; replacing the terminal transformers of generators 1T and 2T; replacing the control and protection system of the plant; equipping an oil vapor extraction system; replacing the brake system of H1 and H2.

In addition to the technical solutions implemented, TMP also made its mark with the outstanding contributions of its staff, engineers and workers. Of these, two outstanding individuals were honored to receive awards for their outstanding achievements in technical management, making an important contribution to improving the reliability and operational efficiency of the unit in the 2024-2025 period.

The conference is also an opportunity for units to review the current shortcomings in technical management such as: Some units still lack synchronization in digital application, online equipment status monitoring; maintenance implementation according to RCM strategy, big data analysis and technical risk management have not been comprehensively implemented; the process of standardizing technical documents and digitalization is still fragmented, lacking connections between specialized departments.
In that context, TMP's presentation received high appreciation because it not only frankly reflected the current situation but also demonstrated innovative thinking, a scientific approach and a clear strategy. The improvement roadmap proposed by TMP not only solves current technical problems, but also aims to build an optimal operating system, applying modern technology, in line with the digital transformation trend and sustainable development of the electricity industry. This contributes significantly to EVNGENCO2's common goal of improving reliability, safety, efficiency, and gradually modernizing the entire technical management system, meeting the requirements of socio -economic development and ensuring national energy security.
With a pioneering, proactive and open-minded spirit, TMP continues to affirm its role in technical innovation, ready to adapt to the comprehensive innovation requirements of the electricity industry, aiming at the goal of operating generators safely, sustainably and effectively in the long term.
