On May 13th, VOV Northwest, in coordination with the People's Committee of Song Ma district, organized the handover ceremony for the suspension bridge in Cu Bu village, Chieng Phung commune.
As a remote commune, Chiềng Phung has 11 villages and nearly 1,300 households. Due to its fragmented terrain and numerous streams, transportation is difficult for the people. In April, VOV Northwest connected with philanthropists in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to sponsor the construction of a suspension bridge over the Nậm Và stream. The bridge is 34 meters long, 1.7 meters wide, and has a total value of 210 million VND. After one month of construction, the bridge was completed and handed over for use, meeting the transportation needs of the people in the villages of Củ Bú, Co Khương, Bản Chéo, and Huổi Tư Hua Và.
On this occasion, the volunteer group donated 15 gift packages to disadvantaged families in Chiềng Phung commune.
