Hai Phong voters hope for more mechanisms to promote logistics activities

At the meeting, voters of Hai An district expressed their agreement with the report on the socio -economic development results of the whole country in the past 8 months, especially the proactive and flexible management of the Government and the Prime Minister.

The recent super typhoon No. 3 caused heavy losses in human lives and property, negatively affecting production and business in many localities. In Hai Phong City alone, the estimated damage was up to 11 trillion VND. Therefore, voters requested the Government to have "unprecedented" solutions to support localities, people and businesses in reconstruction and recovery after the storm.

Hai Phong is the gateway to the Northern region with international and Hai An district is the gateway to Hai Phong city with a system of seaports, warehouses, and industrial parks. Hai An is also a convergence area of the logistics business community. Voters of Hai An district hope that the city and the Ministry of Transport will soon complete the road traffic system connecting internal ports in the region, add cross-sea bridges and have many mechanisms to promote seaport logistics activities.

Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Chairman of the Hai An District Business Association, expressed his opinion: “I hope the Government will continue to speed up the construction of traffic connection projects such as the coastal highway connecting Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Thanh Hoa. In addition to the seaport system in Lach Huyen area, I would also like to recommend that the Government and Hai Phong City soon study and build Nam Do Son port, supplementing the transportation capacity and freight transport for the northern region of Vietnam.”
