According to Mr. Vi Kien Thanh, on November 5, the Department of Cinema will hold an official press conference about the event and announce the list of guests and artists participating in the 7th HANIFF.
On November 2, information that Zhang Yimou or Lee Kwang Soo was about to come to Hanoi was spread on social networks and immediately attracted attention.
This year's Hanoi International Film Festival with the theme Heritage in Motion - Cinema: Creativity - Take Off officially opened on November 7 at Ho Guom Theater, Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

This year's event brings together more than 500 works from 51 countries, 117 competing films, 800 guests who are famous domestic and foreign film experts, directors, and actors, along with a series of open activities throughout 5 days. Some of the activities of HANIFF VII include Project Market, Outdoor Film Screening, Photo Exhibition, Visiting Historical Sites, etc.
Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story directed by Trinh Dinh Le Minh, adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh, is the opening film of HANIFF this year. Several other Vietnamese films such as Mai, Mrs. Nu’s House, Meeting the Pregnant Sister Again, Dao, Pho and Piano, Hong Ha Nu Si, Before the Time of Love… also participated.
According to the organizers, this year's HANIFF 2024 will also update the trend of young audiences with musical performances from popular handsome brothers and sisters such as Soobin, Trong Hieu, Cuong Seven, Ha Le, My Linh, Uyen Linh, Duong Hoang Yen.
