In 1968, in Italy, a book about Ho Chi Minh and the two great resistance wars of the Vietnamese people was published under the title Ho Ci Min - Un uomo e un popolo by the magazine Vie Nuove (New Roads), at that time the mouthpiece of the Italian Communist Party.

The book is a collection of 12 magazine issues, with 12 topics arranged in historical order, told by journalists Paolo Bracaglia Morante and Camillo Pisani, combined with vivid illustrations by artist Pino Dangelico and many valuable documentary photos. The book is published by Vie Nuove magazine.

It can be seen that since the 60s of the last century, the image and thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh have gone beyond the borders of Vietnam and become a source of inspiration for many countries and peoples in the world . The work Ho Chi Minh - A man and a nation is a vivid proof of the strong support and sincere affection of international friends, especially the Italian people, for President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese people.

The book contains valuable documents about the two resistance wars of the Vietnamese people, and more especially, the comic strips depicting the life of President Ho Chi Minh associated with the history of the nation. The work leads readers to learn about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, from when the boy Nguyen Sinh Cung witnessed the brutality of the feudal regime to when he became Nguyen Ai Quoc and later Ho Chi Minh, the person who led the revolutionary movement of the Vietnamese people to glorious victory.

In 2020, this special publication was presented to the Ho Chi Minh Museum by the Veneto Region Italy-Vietnam Friendship Association and then introduced to Kim Dong Publishing House by the Vietnam-Italy Friendship Association. On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the book was translated and introduced to Vietnamese readers.

Thus, after nearly 60 years, the publication has appeared in the country that inspired three Italian authors: journalist Paolo Bracaglia Morante, journalist Camillo Pisani and artist Pino Dangelico. This is a rare publication that tells the story of President Ho Chi Minh in comic form.
