World flower arrangement competition held in Da Lat

World Flower Council Summit 2023 is a complex of international flower activities that will be held in Da Lat, including the World Flower Arrangement Competition.

On August 11, the World Flower Council and Dalat University announced the international flower industry activities in 2023 (World Flower Council Summit 2023 - WFCS 2023) to be held in Dalat.

Notable in the WFCS 2023 event complex is the World Flower Arrangement Competition.

Honoring the values ​​of flowers

WFCS 2023 is the first flower industry event organized by the World Flower Association in Vietnam. The event takes place over 5 days (from September 8 to 12) with the theme "Vietnam - Blooming with Timeless Charm".

WFCS 2023 (37th edition) will have more than 500 attendees who are designers and industry experts from more than 20 countries around the world.

The event has 8 major activities, notably flower arrangement demonstrations and instructions for people to combine flowers with vegetables and fruits to create unique flower products.

According to the World Flower Association, the event aims to honor the values ​​of flowers and the flower industry, continuing to maintain the mission of spreading world peace through sharing love and knowledge about flowers, making flowers a symbol of peace and culture, regardless of national boundaries.

More international activities to celebrate 130 years of Dalat

"The WFCS event gives the flower industry community the opportunity to exchange and learn: techniques, design ideas, and the latest trends in the flower industry from around the world. This is also an opportunity to promote the flower industry in Da Lat as well as promote Vietnamese culture and tourism " - Mr. Phubast Chesdmethee, Vice President of the World Flower Association, said.

WFCS is an annual event of the World Flower Association, which has been held 36 times. This is one of the prestigious and traditional events in the flower industry and receives the attention of a large number of the public, experts, and designers from all over the world.

Mr. Mai Vinh Nhat, Vice Principal of Dalat University (co-organizer), said that the flower arranging artists will use all of Dalat flowers for their entries. Dalat flowers will also be used to design costumes for the models to perform. Therefore, the event will promote the Dalat flower industry very well.

This is an activity within a series of events celebrating "Da Lat, 130 years of formation and development".
