Patient Son Phuong (born 1974, residing in Tai Van commune, Can Tho city) was transferred to Soc Trang General Hospital in a state of deep coma, circulatory and respiratory arrest. After successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation, doctors discovered that the patient had a subarachnoid hemorrhage due to a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.

The patient was resuscitated. After 3 days, the patient regained consciousness, had the endotracheal tube removed, and was breathing through nasal oxygen. However, the patient still had severe headaches, so he was transferred to the Department of Neurology - Stroke for further monitoring and intensive treatment. Here, the patient was ordered to undergo digital subtraction angiography (DSA), which showed a cerebral aneurysm measuring 5.92 x 5.32 mm.
The neurovascular intervention team quickly performed endovascular intervention using coil placement to completely seal the aneurysm. The procedure was successful; post-intervention images showed no more blood flow into the aneurysm. The patient's health is now stable...
