Rescuing fishermen in distress at sea.

On May 26th, the Giao Long Port Border Guard Station (Vinh Long Provincial Border Guard) announced that it had received and assisted a fisherman in distress at sea after he was rescued by local residents and brought safely ashore.

According to information from the authorities, at approximately 1 PM on May 25th, the Giao Long Port Border Guard Station received a report from Mr. Nguyen Van Bon (born in 1987, residing in Thoi Loi 1 hamlet, Thoi Thuan commune) about having just rescued a fisherman in distress at sea.

The victim has been identified as Mr. NTV (born in 1992, registered permanent residence in Thoi Thuan A hamlet, Thoi Lai commune, Can Tho city). According to initial information, while working in the fishing industry at sea, Mr. V unfortunately fell into the water and found himself in a dangerous situation. Upon discovering the incident, Mr. Nguyen Van B quickly approached, organized a rescue operation, and brought the victim safely ashore.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Giao Long Port Border Guard Station conducted initial health checks and monitoring; they also provided clothing, essential supplies, and carried out the necessary procedures as required.

Mr. NTV's health is currently stable. However, since contact with the victim's family has not yet been established, the unit is continuing to coordinate efforts to verify information, provide care and support, and complete the necessary procedures to promptly return the victim to his hometown.
