According to BGR , a new tool called GrayKey is said to be able to access data on iPhones, even when they are running the latest iOS 18 operating system.
A tool has emerged that can jailbreak even iPhones running iOS 18.
According to 404 Media , GrayKey can 'partially unlock' most devices running iOS 18, meaning it can extract certain data. Notably, this tool can access all data on iPhone 11 models.

GrayKey was developed by Grayshift, a company specializing in 'forensic' solutions for mobile devices. This tool is often used by law enforcement agencies to investigate crimes. However, it appears GrayKey cannot fully jailbreak iOS 18. The tool only works on iOS 18 and iOS 18.0.1, but cannot bypass newer security updates such as iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.2.
The good news is that iOS 18.1 is being updated to iPhone users at a very rapid pace, thanks to the addition of new Apple Intelligence features. This means that the vast majority of current iPhone users are now protected from GrayKey.
In the face of these jailbreaking tactics, Apple always encourages users to update to the latest iOS version to ensure device security. Regular updates help patch security vulnerabilities and prevent hacking tools like GrayKey from infiltrating the device.
