Da Lat proposes to open a walking street next to Xuan Huong Lake

On May 27, the People's Committee of Da Lat city submitted a plan to pilot the Tran Quoc Toan walking street along Xuan Huong lake to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

This is a small road along Xuan Huong Lake. Cultural and sports events are often held on this road.

According to the proposal, this walking street starts from the Tran Quoc Toan - Dinh Tien Hoang intersection to the City Flower Garden with a length of 1.6km.

According to the plan, the walking street has one side adjacent to Doi Cu golf course, the other side facing Xuan Huong lake.

The walking street is expected to operate from 6pm to 10pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The pilot Tran Quoc Toan walking street will run from June 2 to the end of December 2024.

On this walking street, the authorities will organize cultural, artistic and sports activities including: art performances; cultural and artistic exchanges between music groups, street dances; organizing artistic roller skating, martial arts performances, health exercises; activities of making paintings, art photos, and handicrafts. In addition, the street will have a market introducing Da Lat specialties.

The People's Committee of Da Lat City hopes that this walking route combined with the City Flower Garden, Xuan Huong Lake, Lam Vien Square, and Da Lat Night Market will form a complete night street space, meeting the needs of tourists for sightseeing, enjoying art, culture, and cuisine , and stimulating the development of trade, services, and tourism.

Currently, Da Lat has a walking street in Hoa Binh area, the famous Da Lat night market attracts many tourists every week.
