Da Nang to welcome about 50 domestic and international wedding events in 2024

DNVN - Since the beginning of 2024, the Da Nang Department of Tourism has consulted and organized to welcome about 50 domestic and international wedding events from markets such as India, Australia, Japan, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Malaysia, etc.

Da Nang Department of Tourism said that on December 15, they organized a ceremony to present flowers, souvenirs, vouchers to experience services, along with a warm welcome, blessings, and thanks to the bride Lavania and groom Kuramaguru (Malaysia) for choosing Da Nang as the place to record the happiest moments of their lives.

Along with that, the couple's wedding welcome message was also shown on the LED screen at the immigration area, T2 international passenger terminal of Da Nang airport and supported the quick clearance of goods and luggage for the wedding ceremony.

Impressed by that warm welcome, the bride Lavania and groom Kuramaguru shared that the reason for choosing Da Nang for the important event of their lives was because of the attractiveness of the destination, the diversity of high-class resort services and the enthusiastic and dedicated support from the city.

The couple's wedding was held on December 16 and 17 at Naman Retreat Danang Hotel with nearly 100 guests from Malaysia, with activities to connect and share love stories and gratitude to guests... in addition to the main ceremonies held by the couple in their home country.

This is one of the cases in the pilot program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang, which has been implemented since the beginning of 2024. To date, the Da Nang Department of Tourism has consulted and organized to welcome about 50 domestic and international wedding events from markets such as India, Australia, Japan, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Malaysia, etc.

Representatives of Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center presented flowers to congratulate the bride Lavania and groom Kuramaguru (Malaysia).

In particular, Da Nang was chosen to host the wedding of four Indian elite couples with over 1,200 guests, dozens of formal ceremonies and unique, impressive activities. This is a testament to the attractiveness and potential of Da Nang City in attracting this type of wedding tourism.

Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An said that the plan to develop wedding tourism and the pilot program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang have been implemented since the beginning of 2024 and have been promoted to wedding event organizers, domestic and international tourism businesses at major tourism fairs such as VITM Hanoi , ITE HCM, Tourism Expo Japan, SATTE India...; through direct working sessions with major wedding event companies in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, India, and Korea to introduce infrastructure and programs.

In addition, the Da Nang Department of Tourism successfully organized the Da Nang City Wedding Tourism Development Conference 2024; Vietnam Wedding Tourism Conference 2024 "Da Nang Wedding Tourism - Opportunities and Challenges"; organized to welcome 2 international famtrip wedding planner delegations to survey Da Nang wedding tourism in June 2024 and December 2024.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An said that in 2025, major hotels in the city and wedding event planning companies will continue to receive many orders for international weddings. This shows that the strategy of developing wedding tourism products is contributing to affirming Da Nang as one of the leading destinations for this unique type of tourism in Asia.
