Chemical Group exchanges cooperation opportunities with the World Bank

DNVN - On October 2, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem) met and worked with representatives of the World Bank (WB) to discuss cooperation opportunities and expand support in many fields, especially promoting the green transformation program - the Group's key strategic orientation in the coming period.

Attending the meeting, on the World Bank side, there was Ms. Sudeshna Banerjee - Regional Director of Infrastructure and related officials. On the VINACHEM side, there was Mr. Dao Trong Cuong - Deputy General Director of the Group, representatives of the Technical Department, Communication & Development Department.

At the meeting, Mr. Dao Trong Cuong - Deputy General Director of Vinachem shared an overview of the Group's operations in recent times, emphasizing the efforts in restructuring, technological innovation, developing environmentally friendly products, as well as a strong commitment to the roadmap to achieve the goal of reducing emissions and sustainable development.

He said that Vinachem is actively implementing the Green Transformation Program for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, prioritizing innovation in production technology, improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing a circular economy .

The World Bank representative highly appreciated Vinachem's efforts and strategic steps, and affirmed that the WB is ready to accompany, study financial and technical support models as well as share international experiences to help the Group realize its green production goals. The WB also proposed a number of key cooperation directions such as: supporting access to preferential capital for clean technology investment projects; technical advice in environmental and social management; cooperation in research, development and transfer of green technology.

The meeting was an opportunity for both sides to openly discuss and identify specific cooperation priorities, in line with Vinachem’s sustainable development orientation as well as the World Bank’s support strategy. This is considered an important first step, opening up many opportunities for deep and wide engagement, especially in bringing Vinachem’s green transformation program into reality and effectiveness.
