Khanh Hoa Digital Transformation Breakthrough: Focusing on advanced technology and data infrastructure

DNVN - On November 19, in Khanh Hoa, the Provincial Digital Transformation Conference took place to discuss and propose practical and breakthrough solutions to accelerate digital transformation in the coming time.

According to Khanh Hoa newspaper, digital transformation activities in Khanh Hoa are being implemented synchronously on three important pillars, including digital government, digital economy and digital society. Based on this “new space”, the province focuses on prioritizing strategies and plans for digital government development, and at the same time, issues many policies to promote digital economy and digital society.

Advanced and breakthrough digital technology application solutions have been given top priority, including: Developing digital infrastructure and data infrastructure; Applying modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain technology and AR/VR virtual reality technology.

The strong deployment of these technologies will focus on key areas, including: Public administrative services, tourism services, smart cities, marine economy, logistics, healthcare, education, energy and agriculture.

Prioritize the development of shared infrastructure and data

To realize the above goals, Khanh Hoa has identified the construction of infrastructure, platforms, digital services and digital data as a priority task. The province is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for telecommunications and digital technology enterprises to expand investment, develop telecommunications networks and internet lines, and ensure network information security. The province will continue to build key digital platforms to serve the digitalization of economic sectors, establishing a transparent and secure digital environment.

At the seminar "New space - Breakthrough in Khanh Hoa's digital economic development", experts emphasized the key role of data. According to Mr. Hoang Xuan Hieu (Ministry of Science and Technology), for the digital economy to operate effectively, businesses must increase connectivity, communication and data sharing with each other, aiming to form a shared data platform. When the data system is synchronized, businesses will easily connect, form value chains and create breakthroughs in business.

Digital transformation applications in tourism and smart cities

Based on existing advantages, Khanh Hoa is recommended to promote digital transformation in two key areas: tourism and smart cities.

In the tourism sector, the province can increase data connectivity between accommodation establishments, services, restaurants and banks, helping tourists conveniently access information when coming to the locality.

For the goal of building a sustainable smart city, IoT technology will be applied to collect data on the environment, seawater quality, landslide risk and pollution levels. From this data, the province can issue early warnings to serve the people.

Delegates also stated that Khanh Hoa needs to prioritize digital transformation in areas such as logistics, marine aquaculture, green economic development and sustainable smart tourism to create a foundation for long-term growth, consistent with its strengths in marine economy and clean energy.

Accelerating digital economy and digital society

To accelerate the digital transformation process, experts have proposed many specific solutions for businesses and business households, including popularizing the national domain name .vn and digital presence tools for business households through the website BIZ.VN.

Regarding digital society, the province is promoting the digital transformation program in the education sector through a free programming learning model, while focusing on ensuring network information security.

At the conference, recommendations from the grassroots reflected the urgent need for digital transformation at the ward and commune levels: Bao An Ward proposed upgrading IT infrastructure and equipment, and organizing training courses to improve IT skills for staff. Meanwhile, Ca Na Commune proposed researching and building virtual assistant software for common use among localities.

In particular, solutions and software to support people in detecting fraudulent information in the digital environment need to be deployed to enhance digital safety skills for the community.

Previously, the Department of Science and Technology of Khanh Hoa province signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) to implement digital transformation contents. The leaders of the Department of Science and Technology have received opinions at the conference and are synthesizing them for early implementation.
