Responding to the 60-hour online shopping campaign Online Friday 2025, Shopee and the Department of Industry and Trade of Thai Nguyen province recently coordinated to organize the livestream session "Spreading Vietnamese Flavors" on November 15. This activity continues the efforts to support local businesses to improve their digital business capacity and bring Thai Nguyen specialties to consumers nationwide.
Shopee strengthens support for Thai Nguyen businesses in digital transformation
In fact, many small businesses and traditional manufacturing facilities still face difficulties when participating in digital transformation due to lack of operational personnel and experience in building booths. Therefore, to partly support removing these "bottlenecks" for businesses, in January 2025, Shopee and the Department of Industry and Trade of Thai Nguyen province officially launched "Ban Viet_Thai Nguyen", the first e-commerce booth of the province.
Ban Viet Thai Nguyen booth on Shopee specializes in distributing OCOP products, specialties and key agricultural products of the province.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Thao, Director of Thai Minh Import-Export Trading Company Limited, distributing Thai Minh An tea products through Ban Viet helps businesses no longer have to handle the entire sales process on the floor themselves. Thanks to that, they can focus on improving quality, while still reaching a wider customer base to increase competitiveness.
Not stopping there, within the framework of the Online Friday 2025 campaign, Shopee continues to accompany the Thai Nguyen Department of Industry and Trade to organize the livestream session "Spreading Vietnamese Flavors" to promote Vietnamese agricultural products closer to consumers.
Shopee cooperates with the Department of Industry and Trade of Thai Nguyen province and typical enterprises of the province to organize a livestream session in response to Online Friday 2025
Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Thai Nguyen province, said: "Building a provincial booth on the Shopee e-commerce platform not only helps local specialties find stable outlets, but is also a stepping stone for cooperatives and businesses to access digital business methods."
Livestream connecting Thai Nguyen products with consumers nationwide
The livestream session "Spreading Vietnamese Flavors" held on November 15 introduced to Shopee Live viewers a series of OCOP products, agricultural products and specialties of Thai Nguyen province. At the same time, the program also had representatives of three typical units including Ban Viet Cooperative, Thai Minh An tea brand and Phu Gia Biotechnology Company participating in direct sharing.
Many OCOP products, specialties of Thai Nguyen province such as crispy rice with shredded pork, green tea, dried shiitake mushrooms... all appeared in the livestream session "Spreading Vietnamese Flavors"
The presence of businesses helps audiences better understand the products, from the processing to the quality standards to the inspirational stories behind them. When users have access to detailed information from the manufacturer, they will have more important data to make purchasing decisions easier.
The live broadcast format is a lever to help Thai Nguyen specialties spread to consumers across the country quickly and effectively. Specifically, there have been more than 1 million livestream views on Shopee Live and social networking platforms, helping the number of visits to Ban Viet booth increase up to 29 times compared to normal days. At the same time, more than 85% of the cooperative's e-commerce revenue on November 15 also came from the livestream session, exceeding initial expectations.
Shopee's communication activities before and after the livestream session also contributed to spreading Thai Nguyen products to young people on social networks.
Ms. Bui Thi Hai Yen, Director of Ban Viet Cooperative, commented: "Every quintessential local product deserves to be known by more customers. Through livestream sessions on e-commerce platforms, we expect consumers across the country and even internationally to be able to easily access and order products from Thai Nguyen province."
From the spreading power of the November 15 livestream session, Ms. Yen added that the cooperative's booth plans to further promote this model in the coming time.
Strengthen quality control, build trust when shopping online
As part of a series of activities responding to Online Friday 2025, the livestream session "Spreading Vietnamese Flavors" closely follows the theme "Safety - Peace of mind - Happiness", emphasizing the goal of building a transparent and trustworthy e-commerce environment.
Products participating in the program are strictly controlled from the sales process, origin to quality certification before being broadcast. Therefore, consumers can rest assured to buy quality Vietnamese specialties.
Shopee accompanies local businesses to promote smart consumption and build a transparent e-commerce environment
Among the participating enterprises, Phu Gia Biotechnology Company Limited attracted attention when owning an organic mushroom farm in Vietnam certified by USDA of the United States and EU of Europe. In addition, Thai Minh An brand continues to strengthen the reputation of Thai Nguyen tea through the Van Niem Phong stamp system that has been registered for protection in Vietnam, the United States and 27 EU countries on the product.
Mr. Phan Manh Ha, Director of External Relations, Shopee Vietnam emphasized: "The program is a golden opportunity for Shopee and local agencies to spread the trend of smart consumption, encouraging the selection of genuine products from authenticated channels. This is the premise for building a safe, transparent and positive e-commerce environment."
