Mr. Na Ki Hong - General Director of Samsung Vietnam visited Luu Van Dat in Thai Nguyen .
A sincere meeting from the heart
In November 2025, Mr. Na Ki Hong - General Director of Samsung Vietnam personally visited Luu Van Dat's family. The trip recorded an emotional encounter, where hearts were connected by sincere empathy.
Mr. Na Ki Hong and his brother Liu Wen Dat chatted by the wood stove.
Luu Van Dat (13 years old) lives with his grandmother in a small house in Van Han, Thai Nguyen. His mother left when he was 17 months old, and his father passed away early. Dat's childhood was spent in the warm embrace of his grandmother. Every day, after school, he diligently pulled the wheelbarrow to collect dry branches. Thus, helping his grandmother became a familiar part of Dat's life.
"I saw that my grandmother was getting weaker, so I reduced the time I played to help her," Dat said.
For her, the biggest concern is not the constant back pain, but the future of her grandson when she is no longer able to protect him. "I feel sorry for Dat, he is so young and skinny. Many times I can't sleep, worrying that if I leave too soon, I don't know what will happen to him," the grandmother shared her worries.
During the visit, Mr. Na Ki Hong listened to Dat share about his life, his studies and especially his passion. Cherishing the desire to show gratitude to his grandmother, Dat studied hard and pursued his dream of becoming a professional soccer player. The round ball is not only a hobby, but also a driving force that urges him to overcome all difficulties and is the hope for a bright future.

In particular, knowing that la chua lan loves IT, the benefactor gave practical learning support gifts, including the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow online training course, a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet and a free Internet package for 3 years. The program helps students practice applying STEM knowledge, opening up opportunities for them to access knowledge and develop creative thinking.
In addition, to help Dat realize his football dream, Mr. Na Ki Hong also gave him a uniform of the Vietnam national team, signed by the Korean coach. The gift is a great source of encouragement, as an affirmation that his dream can completely come true with perseverance and effort.
"With these gifts, you can apply your knowledge to create solutions to social problems. I hope you will study better and pursue your dreams to make your grandmother proud," Mr. Na Ki Hong sincerely shared with Dat.
Expressing his gratitude to Dai La Lanh, Dat said: "I want to thank you for taking so much care of my grandmother and me. I promise I will try my best to study to be worthy of your gift."
Mr. Na Ki Hong sent Dat words of encouragement and warm hugs.
