Hung Yen towards a modern industrial province

The socio -economic infrastructure has developed rapidly and quite synchronously, the urban and rural appearance has changed significantly. These are the outstanding results that Hung Yen has achieved in the past 5 years. Looking back at the term, the spirit of solidarity, determination to innovate leadership methods, and promote people's consensus are the factors that have created the success of the province. And this is also the foundation for Hung Yen to continue to break through, striving to soon become a modern industrial province in the near future.

Last August, a Singaporean company’s $50 million factory producing accessories for tablets and smartphones officially began operations. This is yet another testament to the locality’s commitment to attracting high-tech investment.

Mr. Sun Le - Deputy Director of COT Vietnam Co., Ltd., Thang Long II Industrial Park, Hung Yen said: "We have researched many locations and I find Hung Yen to be a suitable place for investment, with a clean industrial park, young workforce, friendly people, convenient traffic connection to the capital. We have also received many conveniences in handling administrative records and have plans to invest more in 2027".

During the term, Hung Yen attracted over 900 new investment projects with a total registered capital of over 24 billion USD. Of which, there were nearly 360 FDI projects with a registered capital of about 10 billion USD. These impressive figures not only show the locality's efforts in creating an attractive business environment but also make an important contribution to growth and promoting economic restructuring.

Mr. Vu Quoc Nghi - Head of the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Hung Yen province commented: "The province regularly organizes exchanges and meetings with businesses and investors to listen to difficulties and problems. Through that, leaders direct and remove bottlenecks, especially difficulties in implementing current legal regulations".

During the past term, the disbursement of public investment capital and infrastructure construction in Hung Yen were also bright spots. Especially with the support of the people, the appearance of many rural areas has changed.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Quynh Phu Commune, Hung Yen Province confided: "My family alone donated 50 square meters of land here. A beautiful house, a beautiful road, and increased land value make us excited."

Mr. Vu Xuan Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Phu commune, Hung Yen province shared: "The Party, the State and the people work together and enjoy social welfare together. This is very important, both shortening the construction progress and saving the budget."

Changing leadership methods, flexibility in applying digital transformation, innovation, and people's consensus... are the foundations that help the province's economy grow sustainably, averaging 9.17% per year, among the top in the country.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee commented: "To build a rich and prosperous Hung Yen, it is impossible not to develop industry in parallel with urban development; or in other words, it is necessary to promote industrialization associated with urbanization with revolutionary and breakthrough solutions to turn Hung Yen into a modern industrial province, one of the leading provinces in the country and become a civilized, smart and ecological urban area".

After merging with Thai Binh, Hung Yen has opened up a new development space towards the sea. This, together with feasible solutions and a spirit of action, will help Hung Yen soon realize its goal of becoming a modern industrial province by 2035, meeting the criteria of a type I urban area.
