Da Nang welcomes a vibrant holiday season.

From morning to evening, Da Nang's beaches welcome large numbers of locals and tourists who come to experience various activities and cool off by swimming in the sea during the summer.

Tourists can participate in activities such as stand-up paddleboarding, inflatable raft riding, jet skiing, swimming, taking photos at sand sculptures and other decorative spots along the beach. They can even enjoy lively cultural performances and entertainment that liven up the atmosphere on the beach.

During this holiday period, security and safety measures, as well as services for residents and tourists, were well implemented. Rescue operations at beaches and assistance for tourists received special attention. Units deployed rescue teams to be on duty and provide reminders along the coast throughout the day to ensure safety.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nhi (35 years old) and her family, along with friends, took a few days off for the holiday in Da Nang and Hoi An (Quang Nam). The group experienced many activities there, such as swimming in the sea, visiting entertainment venues in the evening, and enjoying the local cuisine .

"On our last day off, we enjoyed a swim in the sea and had breakfast before leisurely driving back to Hue. Although it was hot and sunny, the whole group had a fun holiday together," Nhi shared.

Major tourist destinations such as Ba Na Hills, Asia Park, the Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda, Son Tra Mountain, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, and DaNa MikaZuki Resort are always bustling with people.

People lined up to buy tickets to enjoy activities at the amusement park or visit the temple, enjoying the cool, gentle atmosphere on Son Tra mountain.

On the last day of the holiday, Da Nang gradually saw a decrease in tourists, and the beaches were no longer as crowded. At the bus and train stations, groups of people returned to their hometowns to begin the upcoming work and study days. There were also buses and trains taking people back to the city.

The total number of flights to Da Nang during the 5-day holiday reached approximately 563. On average, there were 112 flights to Da Nang each day, including 61 domestic and 51 international flights.

Notably, the number of tourists arriving in Da Nang by train increased by over 60% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching over 16,000. In addition, the number of tourists traveling by road, especially by private vehicle, also increased significantly.

Everyone also returned to Da Nang after their 5-day holiday.

According to the Da Nang City Department of Tourism, the total number of visitors and overnight stays in Da Nang during the holiday period reached over 336,000. Of these, approximately 72,000 were international visitors, more than double the number compared to the same period in 2023; and approximately 264,000 were domestic visitors. Total tourism revenue reached approximately 1,336 billion VND, an increase of 12.7% compared to the same period in 2023.

The overall occupancy rate for 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodation establishments reached 70%. Tourist accommodation establishments with 3 stars or less had an average occupancy rate of 45%, mostly with individual guests.

Tourism service businesses in the city have implemented self-assessments to ensure service quality and comply with regulations on security, environmental hygiene, and food safety to serve residents and tourists.
