Da Nang breaks through digital transformation of tourism, aiming to welcome 17.3 million visitors

With the theme “New Da Nang – New Experience”, the city now aims to attract more than 17.3 million overnight visitors in 2025, including 7.6 million international visitors, through a series of new tourism products, attractive incentives and modern digital solutions in tourism.

On August 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) of Da Nang City announced a tourism stimulus program for the last months of 2025, bringing together more than 300 participating units, from large corporations such as Sun Group , Vingroup, Mikazuki, DHC, Hoiana... to museums, monuments, airlines, accommodation facilities, travel agencies, restaurants, shopping centers, and more than 200 tourism service establishments. In particular, VNPAY and TripC AI will join forces to provide online payment solutions and an electronic version of "Da Nang Passport".

“New Da Nang - New Experience”, the city aims to attract 17.3 million overnight visitors in 2025, through new tourism products and modern digital solutions.

According to Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the program is expected to contribute to helping the Da Nang tourism industry achieve revenue of more than VND 29.9 trillion in 2025. The five main groups of activities include: reduced entrance ticket prices, "3 Experience Passports" (Food Tour, Heritage Tour, Green Tour), a series of festival events, the "I love Da Nang - I love Da Nang" campaign and the application of the "Da Nang SMILE" Cultural Tourism Criteria Set.

In particular, this year's stimulus program stands out with a new digital solution, making it more convenient for tourists to experience online payment services for international visitors. With the online version of "03 Da Nang Passports" on TripC, tourists only need to register on the application, receive an electronic passport, check-in, download invoices to collect stamps and redeem gifts online. The integration of these utilities not only enhances the experience but also creates a seamless journey, contributing to making Da Nang a smart, friendly and modern destination.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City announced the application of the Cultural Tourism Criteria - Da Nang SMILE to encourage civility and friendliness in service and ensure service quality.

According to the cumulative 7 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed more than 10.7 million overnight guests, an increase of 18% over the same period in 2024. Revenue reached 33,800 billion VND, an increase of 23%. In particular, the number of international visitors reached more than 4.2 million (up 21%), while domestic visitors reached nearly 6.5 million (up 17.1%). Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in the first 7 months of 2025 is estimated at 33,800 billion VND, an increase of more than 23% over the same period in 2024.
