On May 18, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum organized many cultural activities and unique experiences for locals and tourists visiting the Museum.

This is an activity to celebrate International Museum Day on May 18 and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Head of the Department of Professional Affairs, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum Truong Nguyen Nguyen Kha said that on International Museum Day, May 18, the International Council of Museums (ICOM) chose the theme: "The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities".

This theme reflects the essential role of museums in adapting and leading communities through increasingly rapid social, technological and environmental changes.

Responding to this theme, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum organized the exhibition “Graphic Works of the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum” from May 18-25, introducing more than 40 outstanding graphic works, selected from the museum's Graphic Collection.

The works with many unique themes and diverse techniques such as hand-painted prints, lithographs, copper prints, mica prints, woodcuts, screen prints, plaster prints, iron pen graphics... were created by Vietnamese and international artists such as: Le Ba Dang, Tran Nguyen Dan, Nguyen Tuong Vinh, Nguyen Thi Hai Hoa, Sivilay Sapasert (Laos), Marilyn Mase (USA)...

The exhibition is held in parallel in both live and online formats. This approach helps to bridge geographical distances, overcome language barriers, and create a sustainable bridge between artists and the art-loving community.

On this occasion, the Museum also launched the online exhibition space “DNFAM Online Gallery,” which is an exhibition space with an eye-catching, impressive and fast interface to meet the needs of the public who want to learn and visit the museum remotely.

Thereby creating conditions for individuals, organizations, especially local and national artists to introduce their works to the public in this space.

In order to create a fun playground where people and tourists can interact, connect and nurture their love for art, especially for children to confidently participate in cultural activities outside of school, helping to practice their creativity, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum also organizes the "Color Festival" experience program including attractive art activities with the participation of 2 talented young artists: Ha Chau, Pham Anh and calligrapher Dang Oanh Gin and artists who are staff of the Museum.

Experiential activities include portrait sketching; calligraphy; sand painting; gouache and oil pastel painting; graphic engraving and printing.

Mr. Truong Nguyen Nguyen Kha affirmed that the activities were organized to connect and attract the public, creating a healthy, useful, and accessible playground for people and tourists, not only directly at the actual exhibition spaces at the Museum but also in cyberspace.

In particular, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum offers 100% free admission on May 18./.
