On the morning of October 27, Major Tran Viet Hoi, Deputy Commander of Armored Battalion 699 (Staff Department of Da Nang City Military Command) said that the unit has prepared forces and vehicles to be ready to participate in rescue when there is a notice of storm Tra Mi.

Accordingly, the Da Nang City Military Command has dispatched 4 armored vehicles of the 699th Armored Battalion to prepare for the mission. Of these, 3 vehicles were sent to the headquarters of the City Military Command, and 1 vehicle was sent to the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District.

Major Tran Viet Hoi added that the armored vehicle can operate in storms with winds of 120km/h and wade through water 0.8m deep. Each vehicle can carry 15 people or less.

Storm Tra Mi approaches, trees fall in series, crushing cars in Da Nang. The coastal areas in Da Nang City, Quang Nam have started to have strong winds as storm Tra Mi is about to make landfall. Many trees on the roads have fallen.
