According to Mr. Zơrâm Buôn, the same morning, the rescue team approached the scene to continue searching when another loud explosion occurred from the old landslide area. Immediately after the explosion, rocks and soil poured down, forcing the authorities to urgently withdraw from the dangerous area.
"We went down to the scene but there were several loud explosions. We were afraid of another landslide so we had to retreat and could not continue searching," said Mr. Buon.

The weather in the area this morning has scattered rain but the soil and rocks are waterlogged, losing connection, and the risk of landslides continuing to occur at any time.
Currently, authorities are on duty in the safe area, closely monitoring geological developments and waiting for a favorable time to continue searching for the missing victims.
Yesterday afternoon (November 18), a loud explosion also occurred on the mountain opposite this landslide site, shaking the entire area. Immediately after the explosion, the local authorities urgently evacuated 9 households with 40 people from Ating and Arooi villages out of the danger zone, and relocated them to Gari Primary School and the Gari Commune People's Committee headquarters (formerly) to ensure safety.

Due to continuous rain in recent days, more landslides have appeared on the roads leading to Hung Son.
