On October 24, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh issued a telegram to respond to storm Tra Mi. Accordingly, to proactively respond to the storm, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested heads of armed forces, departments, branches, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts and related units to proactively organize close monitoring of information on possible natural disasters, promptly direct and deploy response work according to the plan to prevent and overcome consequences corresponding to some natural disaster scenarios in 2024 in the area.

People's Committees of districts are ready to deploy plans to evacuate people, pay attention to residential areas living in low-lying areas, riverside areas, areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, etc.; prepare human resources, materials, equipment, and necessary necessities according to the motto "04 on-site".
Relevant departments and branches shall direct the implementation of plans to prevent flooding, clear drainage ditches; promptly complete bracing and pruning street trees to limit falling; implement plans to prevent landslides; and be ready to implement plans to clean up the environment after heavy rains.

The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City said that the Border Guard has counted 1,133/1,159 vehicles anchored at the ports. Thus, Da Nang still has 26 boats with 208 workers operating at sea. Up to this point, 100% of the vehicles operating at sea have grasped the developments and movement direction of storm No. 6 (storm Tra Mi).

Da Nang requires localities to set up checkpoints on deeply flooded roads according to their management levels. Ensure strict management, prevent people and vehicles from traveling, spontaneous tourism , fishing on rivers, low-lying areas and areas at risk of landslides and danger.
Before this year's rainy season, Da Nang also encouraged people in flooded areas to proactively raise their properties and clear water intakes in front of their houses to ensure safety for vehicles.
