On July 22, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to honor and reward students and teachers who achieved high results at the European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) 2025 held in Bulgaria from June 13 to 17.
Honored on this occasion was Cap Kim Hoang Bao (11A3 student, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted) with the EuPhO 2025 bronze medal.
At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, praised the achievements of Hoang Bao and the teaching staff of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted. At the same time, she emphasized that this success is the result of the students' continuous efforts, the school's care, and the dedicated support from their parents.

The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee also affirmed that nurturing talent and improving people's knowledge is the city's top priority. The achievements of Da Nang students in international competitions have contributed to affirming Vietnam's position on the global knowledge map.
Other students from Da Nang City have also won many notable international awards, including second prize at the International Science and Technology Competition in the US and a gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Turkmenistan.
In particular, on this occasion, 9 teachers were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City for their outstanding contributions in training students to achieve high results at the European Physics Olympiad.

The European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) 2025 is a prominent event in the world's physics-loving student community. This year's competition took place in Bulgaria from June 13 to 17, with more than 200 students from 29 countries and territories participating. This is one of the important physics competitions, just after the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) and the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO).
In the 2025 EuPhO, the Vietnamese team achieved many successes, bringing home 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal. The competition consists of 2 main parts: theory (5 hours) and practice (5 hours), where candidates must demonstrate their in-depth understanding and practical skills in the field of physics.
