On this occasion, the Forest Management Unit of the northern area of ​​Hue City provided information regarding the consultation process for approving the investment plan for the Phong Phu Ward Golf Course project. Accordingly, the 9-hole golf course, located in plot 1, sub-area 4, Phong Phu Ward (formerly Dien Hoa Commune), has a total area of ​​approximately 45.11 hectares. According to Decision No. 310/QD-UBND dated February 6, 2025, of the Hue City People's Committee on the announcement of the current forest status of Hue City in 2024, the 9-hole golf course area includes 2.3 hectares of planted forest outside the planning; 3.87 hectares of vacant land with production functions; and 38.94 hectares of land without defined plot boundaries. The 27-hole golf course, located in plot 1, sub-area 4, Phong Phu Ward (formerly Dien Hoa Commune), has an area of ​​approximately 132.81 hectares; of which the golf course itself occupies more than 57 hectares of planted production forest. 46.75 hectares of planted forest outside the planned area; 11.81 hectares of vacant land designated for production; and 16.64 hectares of land without defined plot boundaries…

At the conference, delegates discussed the difficulties and solutions in implementing the decisions transferred from the former Phong Dien town to Phong Phu ward regarding the planning of forest types and forestry land when developing the golf course project in Phong Phu ward.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dai Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, acknowledged the efforts of the local government and requested relevant local departments and agencies to closely coordinate with the Forest Protection Unit in the northern part of Hue City to review and carry out the necessary procedures to request the City People's Committee to announce the decision on the current state of the local forest in accordance with regulations and to publicly inform the people about the implementation of the golf course project in the coming time.

The resort project, combining a golf course and supporting services in Phong Phu ward, covers an area of ​​272.4 hectares; with a capacity of approximately 3,000 tourists and service staff per day and night, the zoning plan was approved by the City People's Council in May 2025.
