A social housing project is currently under construction in My Thuong ward, Hue City.

Accordingly, the groundbreaking ceremony for the social housing project - High-rise apartment building OXH2, part of the Thuy Van Complex Project Phase 2, will be held on December 19, 2025, with the joint venture of Cotana Group Joint Stock Company, Telin Group Joint Stock Company, and Cotana Capital Investment and Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company as the investor.

The project covers an area of ​​20,315 m², with approximately 684 apartments and a total investment of about 420 billion VND. Upon completion, it will contribute to improving the social housing fund, meeting the urgent needs of the people, and promoting the sustainable development of the new An Van Duong urban area and Hue city.

Cotana Capital Investment and Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company (representing the consortium) stated that the social housing area at the Thuy Van Complex Phase 2, invested and constructed by the company, comprises over 1,000 apartments on an area of ​​3.5 hectares across two land plots designated OXH1 and OXH2. In addition to the OXH2 high-rise apartment building, which will be inaugurated soon, the project has completed approximately 364 apartments in the OXH1 area and is continuing construction of subsequent buildings in this area. It is projected that another 210 apartments in the XH1 building will be completed in 2026, and 149 apartments in the XH4 building, part of the OXH1 high-rise apartment complex (West Sky), will be completed in 2027.

This time, the social housing project within the Eastern Urban Area of ​​Thuy Duong - Thuan An Road, in Zone E of the An Van Duong New Urban Area, was also commenced. This project, invested by the joint venture of IUC Group Joint Stock Company and Nam Mekong Group Joint Stock Company, covers an area of ​​16,621.6 m², comprises 600 apartments, and has a total investment of approximately 634 billion VND. Upon completion, the project will contribute to addressing the housing needs of low-income residents and promote sustainable urban development.

Following the Government's directive to adjust the targets for completing social housing projects in 2025 and subsequent years up to 2030, so that localities can incorporate them into their socio-economic development targets, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requests the Ministry of Construction and reports to the Prime Minister on adjusting the social housing targets for 2025 and subsequent years up to 2030 for the city. Accordingly, the target for 2030 is approximately 12,000 apartments, for the period 2021-2025 approximately 200 apartments, and for the period 2025-2030 approximately 11,800 apartments.
