Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, Chairman of the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association, shared that each dish is a story, each restaurant is a living heritage. From the heart of the cook to the heart of the diner, cuisine is the messenger connecting the culture, emotions and pride of a livable city.
“The Da Nang Culinary Culture Association is honored to be the bridge, the one who lights the fire and accompanies eateries and restaurants in the mission of preserving, enhancing and spreading the value of local culinary culture. We believe that when the values of identity are properly aroused and inspired, cuisine not only creates reputation, but also creates opportunities, development and pride for the whole community,” said Mr. Quan.
Ms. Dang Thuy Trang, External Relations Director of Grab Vietnam, said that cuisine is an indispensable part of the travel experience. With the initiative "Famous Restaurants" in Da Nang, the unit is honored to accompany the Da Nang City Culinary Culture Association to honor typical restaurants and eateries that are contributing to preserving and spreading local culture.
“Grab is proud to be the bridge that brings the famous flavors of Da Nang closer to the people and tourists at home and abroad through its technology platform,” Ms. Trang shared.
It is known that nearly 70 typical business units were selected and honored by Grab and the Da Nang City Culinary Culture Association with selection criteria based on three main evaluation sources, including nominations from the Da Nang City Culinary Culture Association based on expert consultation, travel associations and tourist surveys; feedback data from GrabFood users in 2024-2025 and compliance with operational and legal regulations of each unit.
This event also marks the first activity in the 3-year memorandum of understanding between Grab and the Da Nang City Culinary Culture Association, aiming to promote local culture and tourism through cuisine.
