Da Nang: Building a school in a border commune with a total investment of 262 billion VND

On August 19, in Ahu village, Tay Giang commune, the People's Committee of Da Nang city held the launching ceremony of the Tay Giang commune boarding school, primary and secondary school project.

This is a project of important political significance in socio-economic development and implementation of ethnic policies to improve people's knowledge and human resource quality, create a source of local cadres, improve the material and spiritual life of people in border areas, and contribute to strengthening national defense and security.

Tay Giang commune's primary and secondary boarding school is built on an area of over 4 hectares.

The Tay Giang commune boarding school, primary and secondary school project has a total investment of 262 billion VND, belongs to group B, a grade III civil work with a planning area of over 4 hectares.

The project is expected to start construction in November 2025 and be completed and handed over in August 2026 to serve the new school year 2026-2027.

The project includes the following items: Classrooms and subject areas with a total of 1,000 students, equivalent to 30 classes and 14 subject rooms, of which 15 classrooms are arranged for junior high school and 15 classrooms for primary school.

In addition, there are also functional rooms for teaching and learning. At the same time, there are administrative and management blocks and living service blocks including kitchen, dining room, dormitory for students, official housing for teachers, multi-purpose house, outdoor sports field, cultural house...

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Anh Tuan said that the launch of the construction of this school has political significance to concretize and implement the Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo on the policy of investing in building schools for border communes, and is also a practical event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

“In the program of 100 schools to be included in the 2026-2027 school year of the Ministry of Education and Training, Da Nang city will have 6 schools included in this phase. Therefore, organizing the launching ceremony of this project not only demonstrates political determination but also demonstrates responsibility to the Party Committee and people of the city in the cause of economic, cultural and social development in general,” said comrade Tran Anh Tuan.
