The 2nd Congress of Yen Bai Provincial Tourism Association, term 2025

On March 25, in Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai Provincial Tourism Association held the 2nd Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030. Attending the meeting were Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province; Yen Bai Provincial Business Association and 60 representatives of typical tourism enterprises in Yen Bai province.

Yen Bai Tourism Association is a voluntary social-professional organization of enterprises, economic organizations and Vietnamese citizens living and operating legally in the field of tourism and other fields related to tourism activities in Yen Bai province. Currently, the association has over 180 members, operating in 3 main fields: Hotels, travel, restaurants and tourism transportation.

During the past term, as a bridge between businesses and local authorities, the association has had many specific solutions to raise awareness, roles and responsibilities of members in the development of tourism in Yen Bai province. Strengthening and stabilizing the organization, gathering and promoting the strength of members, creating a combined strength of businesses, tourism and services to contribute to promoting tourism activities in Yen Bai province. Focusing on implementing tourism services, participating in investing in developing services on travel, transportation, accommodation, food and beverage, entertainment, etc. to meet the needs of tourists in key localities. Improving the competitiveness of Yen Bai tourism businesses. Developing human resources for tourism in Yen Bai province to ensure quality, quantity, reasonable structure, meeting market and social needs.

Along with that, the association has paid attention to and well implemented the work of linking, improving competitiveness, strengthening propaganda and tourism promotion; and humanitarian charity work. Thanks to that, in 2024 alone, the whole Yen Bai province welcomed more than 22 million tourists, exceeding the resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised and acknowledged the results that the Yen Bai Tourism Association has achieved in the past term. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: In recent times, Yen Bai province has proactively and actively implemented tourism development cooperation activities with the Northwestern provinces and neighboring localities to link and develop tourism. Currently, the whole province has many unique and attractive tourism products built, formed and developed to create a unique brand of Yen Bai tourism.

In the coming time, Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Yen Bai Provincial Tourism Association should develop specific programs and activities each year, promote the role of the organization connecting organizations, individuals, and businesses, creating a combined strength in the production and business of tourism products, promoting investment activities, and tourism services; mobilizing businesses to focus on investing in facilities, improving the quality of tourism products and services; paying attention to building new products, strong typical products; promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation in promotion, image building... to attract tourists to Yen Bai.

Focus on developing the tourism industry, travel, transportation, accommodation, food and beverage, entertainment to meet the needs of tourists. Along with that, it is necessary to focus on training tourism human resources, creating conditions for businesses to access and participate in short-term training programs to foster and improve the quality of tourism staff... to contribute to the development of tourism in Yen Bai province.
