The first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phu Tho province

On November 28, the Phu Tho Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy attended and directed the Congress. Also attending were leaders of Phu Tho province and 336 official delegates.

During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phu Tho province has strived to overcome difficulties, excellently completed key tasks, affirmed its core political role and achieved many outstanding results, contributing to the development of the province.

Major campaigns and patriotic emulation movements continue to be implemented with many good models and creative approaches such as the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households nationwide by 2025".

To date, the province has completed the construction and repair of 10,800 houses, reaching 100% of the plan; mobilized and received support from the province's "For the Poor" Fund reaching over 203 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 3,690 houses for poor households; received support of 453 billion VND, of which allocated to support natural disaster recovery.

In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels conducted 102 monitoring sessions and established 275 direct monitoring teams; organized over 100 feedback conferences. After monitoring and feedback sessions, agencies, organizations and units received, resolved and responded to the recommendations of the Fatherland Front.

Notably, the organization of direct dialogues between Party and government leaders and the people has become a regular activity, with 544 dialogues organized periodically, by topic and suddenly. Thereby, many pressing issues and problems of the people have been listened to and resolved promptly, creating high consensus in society...

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy and Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Truong Quoc Huy emphasized that in the coming term, the Fatherland Front at all levels needs to continue to innovate its thinking and working methods; promote the role of political alliance and protect the rights and interests of the people, and focus on implementing a series of grassroots activities in accordance with the spirit of "leaving no one behind", with the highest goal of serving the people and making their lives better.

Promote the core role in mass mobilization, supervision, and social criticism; actively participate in Party building, building a clean and strong government and political system; strictly implement grassroots democracy regulations and proactively coordinate with authorities to effectively resolve pressing issues right at the grassroots level.

Diversify and improve the quality and effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Party, the State and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, closely linked to the implementation of local political tasks with the motto "Think honestly, speak honestly, do honestly, get real results and the people enjoy real benefits", avoiding ostentation and formality.

Actively innovate the content and methods of operation, promote the application of information digitization and digital transformation, contributing to the building of an increasingly strong Front organization and socio-political organizations. Build a team of Front officials with courage, intelligence, dedication, professional qualifications, enthusiasm, responsibility, devotion to work, respecting the people, being close to the people, helping the people, understanding the people and being responsible to the people.

At the same time, strengthen people-to-people diplomacy activities according to the motto "Proactive, flexible, creative, effective", contributing to building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy with three pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy.

In the immediate future, the Fatherland Front at all levels needs to focus on doing a good job of consultation and introducing candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The Congress unanimously agreed to elect 118 members to the Phu Tho Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the first term, 2025-2030. At the first conference, 12 members were elected to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. Comrade Bui Thi Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the first term, 2025-2030.
