Attending the congress were comrades: Ha Thi Khiet, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.
In the past term, all levels of the association in the province have promoted the spirit of solidarity, innovated the content and methods of operation, effectively implemented emulation movements, campaigns, breakthroughs, and key tasks associated with the implementation of local political tasks and achieved many outstanding results.
Of the 25 specific targets, all levels of the association have completed 100% of the set targets, of which 18/25 targets exceeded the plan.
Notably, the activities to support women's economic empowerment have been focused on and implemented by the association at all levels with many creative and practical initiatives: supporting the establishment of 12 cooperatives, 19 cooperative groups; 53 interest groups; 483 economic development models; maintaining 548 women's groups linked to economic development managed by women.
The association at all levels has increased coordination with banks to support women in accessing loans for economic development. To date, 62,215 members and group members have received loans with outstanding loans of more than VND 4,365 billion.
In many highland communes, 215 "3 Clean Savings Tube" models have been established with savings of more than 2 billion VND, taking turns to support women in difficult circumstances to develop their economy and buy household items.
In many localities, the group "Women help each other with pink bricks and develop the economy" has been established. The amount of money mobilized by the groups is more than 1.3 billion VND, 381,408 bricks to support the construction of 1,051 works for members' families.
In the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" associated with new rural construction, the highlight is that the union levels have maintained 251 models of "collecting recycled waste"; 117 groups of "women carrying baskets/ethnic bags/playing musical instruments to the market" associated with the movement "Tuyen Quang joins hands to handle waste and fight against plastic waste". Through the models, it has contributed to raising awareness and actions to protect the environment of cadres, union members, women and people.
The Congress set out 3 breakthroughs, 5 key tasks and 3 main groups of solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
Speaking at the congress, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh acknowledged and commended the achievements of all levels of the women's association and its members during the past term. At the same time, he emphasized a number of tasks that the association needs to pay attention to in the 2025-2030 term.
The Secretary emphasized that all levels of the association need to invest adequately in the task of building new-age Tuyen Quang women with knowledge, health, morality, courage and aspiration to rise up.
Focus on supporting women to cultivate good family values, build healthy and strong cells of society, contribute to solving current problems facing families, and create a safe living environment for women and children within the family and community.
All levels of the association need to closely follow the orientation and key tasks of the Party, the State and the province, thereby determining appropriate content to implement. Mobilize and support women to improve their knowledge, qualifications and skills to become an important workforce.
Promote the core role of mobilizing society to implement gender equality; advise, propose, and actively participate in solving social issues related to women and children such as preventing human trafficking, child violence, domestic violence, early marriage, and incestuous marriage.
Regularly take care to build, consolidate and perfect the grassroots association organization to be strong and comprehensive, effectively adapting to the two-level local government model.
The Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee also requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, agencies and units to strengthen leadership, direction, coordination and create favorable conditions for women's work and activities of associations at all levels to create effective changes in women's work in each sector and locality.
At the congress, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union announced the decision to appoint 55 comrades to participate in the new executive committee, appoint the standing committee, the Inspection Committee; appoint the positions of President and Vice President of the union, accordingly, comrade Au Thi Mai was appointed to hold the position of President of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Women's Union, term 2025-2030; appoint 15 delegates to attend the National Women's Congress, term 2026-2031.
